The Fate of the Tearling: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 Stars
This trilogy is very slow burn, but definitely a worthwhile read! The series follows Kelsea Glynn as she begins to ascend the throne after spending her entire life in hiding. We follow her as she navigates how to rule her kingdom, discovering the truth of her lineage, and uncovering the secret behind the creation of the Tear land.
The world is incredibly unique as it’s set in a regressed future, and there are times when we get a look into what the past was like and how we got here. If you’re looking for a Fantasy that isn’t afraid to blend genres, I’d highly recommend checking this one out!
I usually have such a hard time feeling properly satisfied with a lot of series finales, but this one wasn’t the case! This was probably one of the most unique series endings I’ve ever read, and went in a direction I not only didn’t see coming but didn’t even think was possible.
The one downside of this series is that it can be very slow at times, and the chapters are super long so it can be hard to stay motivated to pick it back up. Even though I was genuinely enjoying what I was reading, there were times when I found it hard to get through this series because of that.
Overall, I definitely think this series is worth giving a shot! I’m really glad I read it and appreciate how different it is from other Fantasy series I’ve read.
